Btw I wanted to give you a nod for your last week journal entry that makes (somewhere unfortunately, still) incredible sense.
You guys (and ladies) of the comic industry really rock imo and even if it's a 'fun' field you need to be rewarded for your talent and work, not cheated. Plus being professional and straight help other artists on the market, even when they miss a contract... I really liked what you wrote

Comic art can be a fun field but nothing is fun when you can't get paid
I guess I wrote what I did because there are 2 clear problems at my level in the industry:
1. There are a LOT of people who don't draw, color or ink very well flooding the market with junk- willing to work for peanuts. (This makes it much harder for skilled artists to get decent paying work and waters down the market.)
2. There are lots and lots of people out there who have no money and no business knowledge who take advantage of those people by pretending to be publishers OR by unrealistically thinking they have a chance of making it "big" with an inferior product.
I try to keep my business completely honest and do quality work. I don't do big sales (yet.) but I am proud of what I put out.
